The internet leaked video tape attracted World Wide Attention when it surfaced and appeared just days before the premiere of Paris and Nicole's, The Simple Life tv show on Fox Tv.
In 2005, the video earned 3 AVN Awards and won "Best Selling Title of the Year," "Best Renting Title of the Year" and "Best Overall Marketing Campaign – Individual Project.". During the summer of 2005, Paris settled with Rick out of court and was awarded $400,000 in which Paris donated a percentage to her charity of choice, although Paris claimed in 2006 in an interview: "I never received a dime from the video. It's just dirty money and Salomon should give it all to some charity for the ually abused or something."
Hilton Family Statement: "The Hilton family is greatly saddened at how low human beings will stoop to exploit their daughter, Paris, who is sweet-natured, for their own self-promotion as well as profit motives," read a statement released by the family.
