Product Description
Parker are well known for manufacturing double edge razors since 1973 and have used their shaving expertise to create this affordable yet stylish shavette. Shavettes are a close relative of the straight razor sometimes known as a cut throat razor. The 33R shavette has a black rigid plastic handle and stainless steel blade holder. It takes standard double edge razor blades which can be changed as required so no need for sharpening, stroping and honing and all the extra paraphenalia that a standard straight razor requires, yet enjoy the closeness of a straight razor shave. This razor will take standard double edged razor blades. Simply snap a double edge blade in half (lengthways) which is a simple and safe process that can be done whilst the blade is still in the wrapper. The shavette blade holder is then opened and the blade inserted, the holder is then closed and holds the blade firmly in place. The shavette is used in a similar way to the straight or cut throat razor for shaving and by barbers up and down the country for that post haircut finishing touch neck shave. Barbers use these as they can change the blades between customers thus ensuring absolute cleanliness. Also remember there is a major cost benefit when buying safety razor blades versus expensive multi-blade cartridges.
