Hardcover second edition published 1912 by Constable and Company, no jacket. The boards are square and solid, with minor bumps and marks in places. Frontispiece tissue guard present and intact. Both fold-out maps are present, though that of the Nile has a short tear towards the spine. Initials of previous owner to first end-paper, and some sporadic foxing to some pages, that are otherwise clean and unmarked.
