AR.FreeFlight 2.0 is the primary application used to fly and pilot the AR.Drone.Â

ALTITUDE SMART
On the first generation of AR.Drone, we had the ultrasonic sensor and the accelerometer to control the altitude.
We added a pressure sensor to improve the altitude control.
The pressure sensor act as an altimeter. We now get the air pressure during the flight and we compare it to the ground pressure.
We have also a new smarter algorithm to interpret the ultrasonic measurement when the AR.Drone 2.0 hover on lousy  ground like bushes.
3D FLIGHT MODE
Absolute flight mode use the pilot as a reference point(thanks to the built-in 3d compass).
Whatever the direction the AR.Drone 2.0 is facing, it will fly in the very direction you tilt your phone to.
Does Flips and rolls for aerobatic flying
For more enjoyable and exciting flights, the AR.Drone 2.0 is equipped, for the first time ever, with a 'Flip' feature.
Double tap on the button placed on the right side of the piloting device screen and the AR.Drone 2.0 will perform a loop. Both experts and untrained can be a stunt pilot!
