Passage to Juneau

On April's Fool Day of 1996 Jonathan Raban set out alone in his boat to sail from his Seattle home to the Alaskan Panhandle. The so-called Inside Passage from Puget Sound to Alaska is turbulent and deep, an ancient thousand-mile-long sea-route full of dangerous whirlpools, eddies, rips and races. Raban's voyage began as an intellectual adventure, but he quickly found himself in deeper, more ominously personal waters than he's planned.

First edition published 1999 by Alfred A Knopf, New York.

Condition: Good. With jacket.
