Paul Kruger GOLD Pond of 1892 (The Rare Single Shaft)

According to the NGC population report, this is the Kruger Pond, with the exception of the ultra-rare "99" issue, with by far the lowest grading figure - thus the scarcest Kruger pond.

Please note that we previously sold this coin for R52 420 here on Bobshop but the buyer felt that the coin is ex-mounted.

We asked a local expert to examine the coin and he could not find any solder or definitive mounting marks on the rim. However, please note that there is a mark to the left of the "1" in "1 Pond" and also to the left of the "1" in the date "1892" so there is a possibility that the coin was previously set in a bezel but we are not sure.
