The Pebeo round tjanting is a traditional tool for drawing with melted wax onto silk or other fabrics in batik work, where the wax acts as a resist. The 18mm diameter reservoir bowl is made from brass, set in a polished wooden handle. The melted wax travels down the spout, on to the silk, allowing fine lines and patterns to be achieved, which will be resistant to dyes.
