Crackle glass is made when the glass blower blows a ball of molten glass into a bubble then quickly plunges it into a container of cold water, causing the outside to fracture. The glass is then re-heated which expands the crackles and seals the surface while the glassblower shapes the item. Decorative and highly functional.
