This is an image of Wallace Simpson, the twice divorcée, who caused the constitutional crises of 1936, that led to King Edward VIII abdicating and going into exile to marry. As his wife, she became the Duchess of Windsor, but was never afforded the tile of HRH. She famously said, “You can never be too rich or too thin.” The present queen’s father, King George, acceded his brother as king. The queen mother blamed Mrs. Simpson for the death of her husband. She made no secret that she hated Wallace Simpson with a passion greater than she loved life itself. Please note the loss paint to her gloves. I would imagine, most unlikely the result of having worked with them! Please add R18 for postage
