Pelargonium elongatum Seeds

Upright Coconut Geranium

Pelargonium is a well-known genus in horticulture with numerous cultivars of exotic species (mainly South African) being grown in gardens worldwide. Pelargonium elongatum or Upright Coconut Geranium as it is commonly known is a small, soft-textured plant that grows up to 25 cm in height and width. The beautiful little gem is easily grown from seed! The young leaves are heart-shaped but become 5-lobed when older, often with a reddish zonal marking. Up to six dainty flowers are borne on long flower stalks, cream in colour with red-wine markings on the two upper, larger petals. The species name, 'elongatum' refers to the long flowering stalks.
