These very rare bank notes must not be confused with the Pretoria and Pietersburg ZAR notes that were issued during the Anglo Boer War.

Only about 700 of these so called Pelgrims Rust Te Velde” (In the field) £10 notes of the ZAR were printed during the last months of the Anglo Boer War.

That is LESS than its coin equivalent, the Veld Pond of which 986 were struck in the field.

A few staple marks as usual but overall in Very Fine condition; a really nice collectable note.
