The gem has been heat/pressure treated to bake a coating up to 1mm into the surface of the gem,
this coating is extremely hard wearing and should last a lifetime.
Topaz has a hardness of 8 and makes hard wearing jewelry.
The gem measures 9 x 7 mm and is internally flawless with no visible damage to any of the facets.
The Pendant measures 35 x 15mm & weighs 1.5grams
