Penstemon digitalis or Foxglove Beardtongue as it is commonly known is a beautiful wildflower that can take a month or more to germinate, but once it’s blooming in your garden it will be worth the wait! Birds and butterflies are drawn to this carefree perennial, which also makes a lovely cut flower. The white flowers can be tinted with pink or purple, and the foliage is accented with a maroon-red colour. It grows 30cm to 45cm in height, should be spaced 45cm to 60cm apart and planted in full sun to light shade.
