The Pentax Espio 160 is an auto focus compact camera with a very long zoom range. It's easy to use, and you can download a copy of the instruction manual (for the IQ Zoom 160) free of charge from the Pentax USA web site. 

 The lens is a Pentax Super Multi Coated 38-160 mm - a range of focal lengths from wide angle through standard to long telephoto. This makes the camera ideal for many subjects including portraits, candids, sports and many others. Focusing is automatic, and the camera sets the distance for you when you press the shutter release slightly, using five AF points. 

 Fully automatic (program) exposure, where the camera selects the shutter speed and aperture required, from 1/400th down to 2 seconds. This means that the camera can be used under a wide range of conditions, with no extra manual settings required. Film speeds are set automatically using DX coding with most films. Two B settings are available for time exposures in very low light. 

 The optical viewfinder provides a bright and clear image of the subject for easy framing. Film advance is motorised, and the camera will load the film automatically, wind on after each shot and then rewind at the end of the film. Extra features include lens cover and shutter lock, mid roll rewind, self timer and tripod socket.
