This camera is idea for the beginner photographer who, whilst wanting the benefits of a more professional camera with manual functions, also likes to just point and shoot. The camera is cheap for what you get, so it doesn't have all the functions that more expensive models have, but unless you are very heavily into photography and personalising your shots, this camera will cater for all your needs. The camera offers a wide variety of functions like being able to adjust the appature and the shutter speed. However, if you don't feel comfortable enough to do this manually then you can ask the camera to do it automatically on one of the modes; portrait, landscape, action, allround. etc. The camera is also relibale and sturdy, which is surprising for the price. Pentax have produced a very competative package that anyone thinking of getting into serious photography, or for the holiday photographer that preferes better quality and more personal imput, would be foolish to miss out on.
