SMC Takumar 50mm F1.4 Lens + Adapter.

This M42 lens is one of the last of the threaded Takumars lenses and is known to be the best performer of the series.

A Free M42 to Canon or Nikon adapter comes with the lens.

Condition is 9.5 out of 10. The lens elements are perfect, the diaphragm operates as it should. The barrel shows signs of light use. These superb lenses are becoming very scarce, particularly the SMC.

I ran some tests on this lens with my Nikon D90 and was amazed to find that it was equal to my new 50mm Nikkor lens. The resolution was equal but the colour rendition was better showing even spread on the histogram and more saturation. I imported this lens from a Professional photographer in Switzerland and he had 0.4mm machined off the edge of the rear lens collar so that it woud fit a Canon 5D. This modification was properly done and does not affect the lens in any way.
