 Filius blue is a very striking edible ornamental pepper with violet-tinged leaves and stems that look almost blue.  The peppers are round and purple, changing to peach and finally red when mature.  Grows well in containers and makes a nice houseplant as well. Plant produces a lot of fruit, creatinga stunning display of colour that can't be missed.  Plants grow to approximately 45cm in height.  The immature fruits are exceptionally piquant. Older fruits are milder once red.  Peppers are considered hot, with 40000-58000 Scoville units. This wonderful heirloom originated in Mexico.
