 This pepper is an African American heirloom that pedates the 1870s. Te peppers were traditionally used by Afro-Americans inOyster and fish houses in Maryland USA. The plants have beautiful green and white variegated foliage. When the peppers ripen they change in color from cream with green stripes to orange with brown stripes and then to an all red eating pepper. The peppers are versatile and can be used in salads or cooked in you favorite recipe. Plants grow to 65cm tall and is quite ornamental. Fruits grow to approximately 7cm in length.  This chilli pepper is hot - 5000 - 30000 Scoville Units.
