Peridots Sterling Silver Ring

Natural peridot cabochon set in sterling silver bezel on a 2.2mm thick sterling silver half round band.  The stone is 7.7mm x 5.8mm in size.

PERIDOT is a magnesium iron silicate with an orthorhombic crystal system and a hardness of 7. Its olive to lime green colour is caused by iron.  Major sources are Pakistan, Brazil, Australia and the USA.
