Offering this beautiful little handmade rug from my private collection.  It has never been used and is in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear or moth damage.  Visible colour variation is due to abrash and not due to damage of any sort.

Carpets from Afghanistan, such as this one, are very hard-wearing, making them suitable for practically any purpose.  They can be used in high traffic areas, such as a lobby or foyer, or as a table decoration.

Origin:  Persia (Afghanistan)

Design:  Traditional Gul (Bukhara)

Size:  87 x 54 cm

Structure:  Handwoven, symmetrical (Turkish) knots

Material:  Wool pile and wefts with cotton warps

Weight:  2,15 kg

This particular specimen has a thicker and more dense pile than the run-of-the-mill Afghan produce, making it even more hard-wearing.
