As can sometimes happen in Oriental Carpets, this rug has some 'Abrash' which are slight differences in the colour of the wool. This occurs because wool may appear as being of the same colour in the weaver's home, but will show some differences once the carpet is finished. It is not necessarily considered a defect, many collectors only buy carpets with Abrash as they feel they are more genuine, and consider the abrash as part of the charm.  Many carpets in Museums also have an Abrash .
