RED PETER PEPER

........or known as the Chilli Willy, is an heirloom hot pepper that turns from green to red. It is approximately 7.5cm to 10cm long and 4 cm wide when fully matured. The unusually phallic shaped fruits resemble human male part when fully ripe In addition to it being a great conversation piece, it has a hot taste ranging from 5 000 to 30,000 scoville units which makes it hotter than the tabasco pepper. It is native to Texas and Louisiana and grows great in our South African climate and can be planted in the garden or in a pot for a display at the back door or kitchen door.
