Bury or attach the wire to the wall/fence of the area you would like to prevent your pet from crossing (such as the perimeter of your property).Â
Connect one end of the wire to a clip on the transmitter, run the wire around the area you want to keep the pet away from and connect the other end to a second clip of the transmitter (forms a closed loop). Twist the double wire running from the transmitters to the perimeter around each other to inactivate the signal for free movement across this section. Us silicone or a similar product to ensure any joins are waterproof.
The transmitter sends a signal through the wire that creates a settable zone (0.5-3m from the wire) where the wire is single (or any odd number). The pet wearing a collar will hear an audio warning for the first 20% of the zone and experience millisecond static corrections for the remaining 80% of the zone as they are approaching the wire. The kit contains flags, used to give a visual indication of the no-go zone during training.
The Ultralight collar has only one level which may be a bit high for sensitive dogs while some dogs may become accustomed to the single level after a while. This is not our recommended collar, however it is less costly.Â
The multi-level collars have one audio level (Level 1) and 4 static correction levels. Always start at the lowest level and only move higher if your dog shows no reaction. Nodding of the head or a confused look is enough of a reaction. Level 3 is usually sufficient on the Comfort Fit and Deluxe Ultralight collars and on the Super Receiver, level 2 is usually sufficient.
Before increasing the level ensure that the collar is working (use the test light supplied with the kit) and that the probes are making contact with your dog's skin.

Extremely effective for keeping dogs away from patio furniture, the pool, flowerbeds, rubbish bins, the car and most importantly to stop them from escaping by running out of the gate or jumping the fence/wall.
Always follow the training instructions to show your dog where the radio fence zones are and what to do when they reach these areas.
Never over-tighten the collar, you must be able to fit your fingers between the dogâÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂs neck and the probes. Ensure your pet wears the collar for a maximum of 10-12 hours at a time and inspect the neck are regularly for damage from the probes rubbing on the skin or from rough play.
You may need to thin the hair or shave it to ensure probes make contact with the skin.
