This we believe to be a late 1800 early 1900 Britannia metal footed sugar basin and sugar spoon.
The condition is fairly good; there are a couple scratches and two small dents next to the back handle.
It stands approximately 13 cm high, 15 cm long, 8,5 cm wide, and the foot is approximately 7 cm in diameter and weighs 300 grams before packaging.
It is really a pretty piece with the flower and leaves engrave decorations, it just need a jolly good clean.
It had a hard life but still a highly collectable and usable item and would make a nice addition to any collection.
Britannia metal was used for making various utensils. Similar in color to pewter, Britannia metal is harder, stronger, and easier to work than other tin alloys.
