The Philodendron Birkin, also commonly known as the Philodendron White Wave, is a compact, self-heading indoor plant.
It is recognized for its dark green, heart-shaped leaves characterized by white or cream pinstripe variegation.
The plant is currently approximately 25cm high. As the plant continues to mature, the white variegation on the new leaves typically becomes more prominent.
This listing is for a healthy Philodendron Birkin established in a 15cm diameter grower's pot.
The plant is dispatched bare-rooted via courier.
The root system is sealed in moisture-retaining plastic to maintain hydration. The broad, colourful leaves are carefully protected to ensure they arrive without bruising or damage.
This method prevents soil displacement and root damage during transit.
Please have a 15cm pot and well-draining potting soil ready for replanting upon arrival.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
This variety thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight must be avoided as it can scorch the variegated leaves.
It requires a well-draining soil medium and should be watered only when the top few centimeters of soil have dried out.
The Philodendron Birkin prefers a warm environment and should be kept away from cold drafts.
Like many Philodendrons, the Birkin is toxic if ingested and may cause skin irritation due to calcium oxalate crystals.
