Philodendron Moonshine care guide

Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light, its golden hues are more pronounced with ample brightness. Avoid harsh direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorching.

💦 Watering

Water when the top 35 cm of soil feels dry. This plant enjoys consistent moisture but does not tolerate soggy soil. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

🌡 Temperature & Humidity

Prefers warm temperatures between 1826°C. High humidity levels will enhance growthmist occasionally or use a humidifier for best results.

🪴 Soil & Repotting

For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or you can create your own potting mix using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil combined with Perlite. When repotting, adding Bark Chips improves aeration and prevents root rot.

🌿 Fertilizing

Feed every 68 weeks during the growing season with a Controlled Release Fertilizer to support steady growth. For an organic boost, use Terraplus Natura N.

Pruning & Maintenance

Regular pruning helps maintain its shape and encourages bushier growth. Remove yellowing leaves or leggy growth to keep it looking its best.

🐛 Pests & Common Issues

Susceptible to spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Keep an eye out for pests and treat with an insecticidal spray if necessary. Yellowing leaves may indicate overwatering, while crispy edges suggest low humidity.
