Picasso's ceramics

Georges RamieÌ
Published by Chartwell Books, 1979
ISBN 10: 0890092818 / ISBN 13: 9780890092811
Pablo Picasso devoted himself particularly to ceramics from 1946-1953, though without ceasing to work in painting, sculpture and engraving. . This present work deals with single pieces of ceramic, engraved pieces -- of which various copies were made -- and, lastly, copies of originals by Picasso, made on the latter's express authority. (first page of text) It was only after his death in April 1973, that his production of such pieces could be studied. This book contains a huge amount of illustrations of his work, along with photos of the artist himself, diligently attending to his craft.
