Condition: Good. Volume 1 ,"Picturesque Palestine, Sanai and Egypt" - A description of the places and it's peoples, not dated, circ. 1880.Tan boards, decorative borders and titles in gilt with gilt edges. The book was rebound by Rhodesian Christian Press with new end papers, a pocket in the back and a protective lamination covering. Mild foxing and markings. The original end papers have also been laminated of which the front, inscribed end paper has become detached. The binding is sound.  

Handsomely illustrated throughout with numerous engravings on steel and wood, both full page and in text.
