I had this print framed in German Silver by the framers in the Biscuit Mill in Woodstock. I think they did a great job.
Print is 44 x 33 cm. Frame is 66 x 56 cm.
Pieter Wenning had a short career but is considered one of South Africa's best artists. D.G. Boonzaier was a huge fan of this picture, see the quote above. It is highly evocative of old Cape Town.
The original went on auction at Stephan Welz with an estimate of R140 000 to R180 000.
