These fruits are low in acid & exceptionally sweet The Name: Its called a "Pineapple" tomato not just for its sweet, citrusy flavor, but because its yellow-orange skin and ribbed exterior resemble a sliced pineapple. Heirloom Pedigree: These are "open-pollinated" heirlooms, meaning you can save the seeds from your harvest to plant the exact same variety next yeara tradition often passed down through generations. A "Rainbow" Inside: When sliced, the flesh reveals a stunning marbled pattern of red, pink, orange, and yellow. Late Bloomers: These plants are "late-season," often taking 8590 days to mature, meaning they are usually the last stars of the summer garden.
