appearance—including a thin top line, smooth hosel transition, compact head and narrow, cambered sole—the S59 quickly became our most popular iron on Tour. The S59 also featured a stabilizing bar across the cavity which produced a solid feel and distance control, and a large Custom Tuning Port (CTP) which added forgiveness on mishits and enhanced club head feel. The CG, which was located closer to the face, created the penetrating trajectory preferred by top players.

Geared towards lower handicappers, the Ping S59 irons are the closest thing to a pure blade that Ping have ever made. The S59 irons combine tradition and technology to provide a high-performing blade in your choice of two finishes. This S59 Tour model has a brushed/polished finish with a ferrule for a classic look, while the standard S59 model has a blasted/brushed finish and no ferrule. Both feature a bar across the cavity which produces a solid feel and distance control. The centre of gravity, which is closer to the face, creates a penetrating trajectory. A thin top line and cambered sole ensure confidence and easy alignment, and the small cavity adds forgiveness on mishits.

4-Excellent: These clubs/iron sets have been hit previously, but only for a very few shots. Golf ball marks are barely visible on the faces. Light marks on the sole may be barely visible as well. This item will make you a proud owner as it looks as if it has been played very sparingly.
3-Good: These clubs/iron sets have been played in an appropriate fashion. The wear is typical for an item of similar model/age and has been well taken care of to date. Ball wear is visible only on the face, with the only signs of cosmetic wear being very light and primarily associated with the face and sole of the item.
2-Fair: These clubs/iron sets have been played quite a bit previously, but still have plenty of play left in them. Ball wear, scratches or light dings can be found on and around these clubs, none of which affects the playability of these items.
1-Not so Good: These clubs/iron sets have been played with great frequency and exhibit a great deal of cosmetic wear. There are heavy scratches, ball marks, rock dings and the like associated with these items. The item itself is still in tact and ready for play.
