The concept is simple. First, you just install the free rekordbox app on your Mac, PC, Android, or Apple iOS device that's on your Wi-Fi network. Load in your tunes and then arrange them as you like, tweaking whatever setting you need to along the way. When it's time to load a track, you can instantly transfer the song, metadata, and settings directly to your XDJ-1000MK2 with the tap of a screen or the click of a mouse. It's that easy! And with all of that added functionality, the XDJ-1000MK2 can still play back USB storage devices such as flash memory and hard disks, SD memory cards, audio CDs, and DVDs, plus audio files in MP3, AAC, WAV, and AIFF formats.

In addition to all of the standard transport, cueing, and scratching, the XDJ-1000MK2 gives you some extremely useful advanced features that make DJing even more fun and provide you with cool performance options. First up, there's the Beat Jump/Loop Move operation. Beat Jump lets you jump back and forward one, two, and even four beats by tapping the touchscreen - all without breaking the flow of the music. Loop Move does the same thing, only with your entire loop. In a similar way, the XDJ-1000MK2's Quantize function lets you trigger cue points and loops perfectly on beat, smoothing out your timing for flawless results. Finally, there's Slip Mode, which lets you go to town with scratching and reverse play while the song keeps progressing in the background, leading to smoother results.
