Description

The WaterInca Pleated sediment filter is usually the first stage in the water filtration system. This sediment filter is designed to remove visible particles such as mud, rust, sand, dust and silt from the water. It also removes turbidity, which is the cloudiness caused by a large number of particles in water.

The Pleated sediment filter cartridges are made from durable, spun-bond, non-woven, polyester fabric, making it a washable and re-usable filter cartridge thereby extending the time period between filter replacements. Each filter undergoes a thermally bonded construction, with the media, end caps and inner core heat sealed together. The media has been pleated to maximize its dirt holding capacity and can filter large amounts of water at a high flow-rate without causing a drop in the water pressure.

These filters come in a range micron ratings, namely 1m, 5m, 10m, 20m, 30m, 50m and 100m. The micron rating is the size of hole in the filter that prevents particle from passing through. There is no price difference between the micron ratings, but we usually ship the 5m rated filter unless otherwise requested.
