Please note this unit has a fan that can be heard, the fan keeps the system cool and prevents damage to the inverter and battery.
Please note the battery can handle between 300 - 500 cycles. Battery Cycles is when you charge and discharge the battery Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, at stage 2 - 6, the battery cycles can be depleted within a few months.
The batteries will also be further degraded due to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load shedding cycles. To charge battery to 100% can take up to 8 hours if completely drained. Therefore, during constant stage 2-6, we highly recommend keeping the inverters power switch OFF. Then, only switch it on when the need for backup power is crucial.
This will preserve the longevity of the batteries (please keep the system plugged in to the wall permanently to keep it fully charged even if system is switched off).
