Our product includes Raspberry Leaves, Black Cohosh and Lady's Mantle. Raspberry leaves are used to help with frequent or excessive menstruation, painful periods and other menstrual disorders. Black cohosh's flowers and roots were commonly used in traditional Native American medicine, and today it has become a popular women's health supplement claimed to help with menopause symptoms, fertility, and hormonal balance. Lady's mantle leaves are said to resemble the Virgin Mary's cloak and it also has an affinity for the female reproductive tract so it is aptly named. It is a valuable herb for treating excessive or irregular menstrual bleeding.
The formulation includes a number of herbs which are known to be beneficial for relieving pain, headaches and cramping associated with period pain, heavy & painful periods, treating irregular periods and relieving bloating and discomfort during the menstrual cycle.; to maximise the efficacy of the product.
Dosage:
1 teaspoon of dried herb infused into a cup of hot water. Strain and drink. Sweet with honey to taste if required. Repeat 3 times a day as required.
Cautions:
- Don't use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Chamomile should not be taken in conjunction with sedative medications or alcohol.
- Can interfere with blood clotting.
- Do not use in conjunction with aspirin, warfarin or any other drugs with possess anticoagulant actions.
- May cause vomiting in large doses.
- St Johns Wort can cause photosensitivity and Interacts with many prescription medications, including the contraceptive pill.
- Check with your doctor before using if you are on prescription medication.
- Black Cohosh should not be used if you have a history of liver disease.
- Do not take this tea simultaneously with mineral supplements, wait at least half an hour between the two.
- Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients - if allergic reaction occurs discontinue use.
- It is not advisable to use vervain when taking medications that raise or lower blood pressure or with any form of hormonal therapy.
- Do not take with the medication levodopa (L-dopa).
- Do not take in excessive doses as high doses of vervain can cause central nervous system paralysis.
- Keep out of reach of children.
