Note you see is the note you will get! Huge note.  Over 21 cm long . Over 13 cm high.

Interestingly, when this note was printed, in 1919. it was worth over US$11 by the prevailing exchange rate. The Polish Mark was issued only between 1917 and 1924 by the occupying Germans and Austrians at parity with the German Mark.

This purchasing power would have bought about 1500 rand worth of goods, hence its ornate design. It was the highest denomination Polish bank note issued as of 1919.

But by January 2024 it was only worth about one hundredth of one US cent, due to the Polish Bolshevik war and a period of ruinous inflation. So worthless.

Early in 1924 the Polish government issued a new gold based currency, the Zloty , at a rate of  1800000 Polish Marks to 1 Zloty.

The Zloty is still in use in Poland, although it was redenominated 10 000 to 1 in January 1995. So this note face value is now 0.000000055 Zloty. Or .0000264 South African cents.
