This plant produces pods of up to 90cm that can be cut into shorter pieces to be cooked as green beans - a favorite in oriental dishes.
Plant seeds direct from Spring to end of January. Sow 7 cm apart in rows of 50cm apart. Beans do not require rich soil and does not need to be fertilised, however they do well in composted soil. The pole beans will grow as tall as 2m and require a trellis (see suggestions below)
