Product Description:

Take charge of your swimming pool's filtration system with the Aquamax Multi Port Valve (MPV), a universal fit for most fiberglass swimming pool sand filters. This surface-mounted valve adapts to standard PVC pipes with a 50mm diameter and fittings with a 40mm or 1 and a half inch BSP Male thread size. The MPV features threaded inserts for easy surface installation and fitment to top-mounted pool sand filters. It offers six operation modes: Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Recirculate/Bypass, Waste, and Closed/Winter.

Operation Modes:

1. Filter: The pool water is filtered to trap sediment and dirt in the sand bed, returning only clean water to the pool.
2. Backwash: The pool water is dislodged and rinsed down the waste line, removing dirt and particles from the sand bed. Use this for about 3-5 minutes until the water in the sight glass becomes clear.
3. Rinse: The pool water is directed through the filter down the waste pipe. Use this setting after backwashing to rinse and settle the sand.
4. Recirculate/Bypass: The water from the pump bypasses the filter sand bed.
5. Waste: The pool water bypasses the sand bed and is pumped directly to the waste line. This setting is useful when there is a high buildup of dirt and leaves in the pool.
6. Closed/Winter: This mode closes off the multiport valve and prevents water from passing through the filter. Use this setting when cleaning the primary strainer.

Safety Note:

Always remember to turn off the pump before changing valve positions. Running the pump while switching valve positions could damage the gasket in the valve. Do not operate the pump with the valve in the closed position or when changing the valve's position.
