Product Overview:

Africhem's Soda Ash (also known as pH Increase) is specifically formulated to adjust the pH levels in marblite (marble plaster) swimming pools. Maintaining the ideal pH range of 7.2 to 7.6 is crucial for water clarity, bather comfort, and proper chemical efficiency. It is important to note that Soda Ash is not suitable for fibreglass and vinyl pools; for these types, Africhem recommends the everblue Alkalinity Increaser. The package comes in a convenient 2kg size.

Usage Tips for a 50,000-Litre Pool:

• To prevent metal stains, use a bottle of everblue Metal Remover as directed.
• Keep your filtration system in prime condition to ensure cleanliness and cost-effectiveness.
• Operate your pump for 12-14 hours daily during summer and 8-10 hours in winter.
• Clean out pump and weir baskets every week.
• Always maintain a minimum chlorine residual of 1ppm.
• Perform a shock treatment when faced with adverse weather or high swimmer load.
• Regularly brush the pool walls and floor.

Directions for Use:

• To increase pH, with the filtration system running, dissolve 500g of Soda Ash in a bucket of water using a plastic or wooden stirrer (avoid contact by hand).
• Disperse the solution evenly around the pool.
• Retest the pH after one hour and repeat if necessary until the desired pH is achieved.
• Ensure you follow the detailed instructions on the package for the best results.
