This coin was issued by Poland in 2003 to honor the 25th anniversary of Pope John Paul II. It bears a denomination of 2 Zloty, or the equivalent of a U.S. half dollar. Each legal tender coin weighs more than a quarter ounce and measures a full 27 millimeters — the same size as a U.S. $10 gold piece. These beautiful and historically significant coins are truly a fitting tribute to his entire life’s work and mission.
