Porcelain Figurine - Gerhard Bochmann for Alka Bavaria Reclining Nude, c. 1950s

A refined mid-century porcelain figurine, modelled by Gerhard Bochmann (19252012) for Alka Kunst (Alboth & Kaiser), executed in bisque porcelain with delicate hand-painted features and soft blonde hair. The nude female figure reclines gracefully on a stylised white base, her pose a study in sensual repose and anatomical elegancehallmarks of Bochmanns celebrated figurative work.

Marked beneath the base with the original Alka Bavaria and Dresden Art red foil seals. The piece bears an impressed model number 273 as well as Bochmanns signature incised faintly in the porcelain.

Presents in overall excellent condition with light surface scruffings consistent with age and careful handling; nothing that detracts from its visual appeal.
