A wonderfully detailed model by Autoart. The best Porsche 917 model in the most iconic livery the Gulf Oil blue and orange. Run by John Wyer racing in 1970/71.
Although the JW/Gulf Oil cars did not win Le Mans, they became the poster Porsche 917s and helped Porsche win the 1970 and 1971 World Sportscar Championships.
This #2 car won Daytona and Watkins Glen in 1970. The JW/Gulf Oil 917s were driven by many of the sportscar aces of the day including the best Pedro Rodriguez.
In superb condition and supplied in a clear display box and not the original cardboard box.
