A Botanic Garden dinner plate by Portmeirion, depicting the African Daisy (Arctotis grandiflora). It was in fact an illustration of this plant in a book that inspired Susan Williams-Ellis to design the Botanic Garden range of ceramics. This motif was introduced in 1973 and withdrawn in 1990. The condition is good -- no chips or cracks but there is the usual amount of crazing. Diameter 270 mm.
