Boer War - Battle of Scheepersnek - Webley Revolver.

This holster was found in the estate items of a gentleman who farmed outside of Vryheid on a farm adjoining where the Boer War skirmish of Scheepersnek took place.  The British forces retreated over his farmland and in the hurried process, many items fell of the wagons, some which were picked up over time by the farmer. It is presumed, however cannot be proven, that the holster was picked up in the veld a year or two after the Boer War.
