DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	A scarce South West African coloured post card (c 1905) depicting Windhoek in South West Africa. The title 'Windhuk D. S. W. Afrika' is given on the front and the artist's name (Erich Mayer) can also be seen on the front as well as the names of the Windhoek landmarks and the publisher of the card. This card was published by 'Verlag des Swakupmunder Buchhandlung'. The image above shows the front and the back of the post card.
CONDITION	The post card is unused and in reasonably good condition with a slight fold and scuffing in the bottom right corner.

NOTES
A nice collectable early coloured card of Windhoek. The card depicts a painting done by famous South African artist Erich Mayer, who lived in South Africa for a short while after returning from St Helena where he was prisoner of war after the Boer War. I have several post cards listed on this auction. Have a look at the others because the cost of sending a few post cards by post is the same as sending one.
