Short Description
Post-war German steel helmet with liner, BGS type.

Description
Steel helmet consistent with post-war West German production, often associated with the Bundesgrenzschutz (Federal Border Guard). The design is based on the WWII M40-style helmet and features a simplified M31-style liner with the chin strap fixed to the liner band. Exact model and issue history are not confirmed. Similar helmets were used by police and border units in the 1950s. Please refer to images for construction details and condition.
