These are items from a Postal History collection from a well known philatelist. All pieces are of very high quality, are scarce or rare and should be good investment pieces. Please note the cancellations and CDS which add greatly to the value.
This auction is for two items. The first is an embossed half penny postage cover with a Liverpool cancellation - addressed to Elberfield, Germany with arrival CD on rear. The second is a Postcard with a half penny pre-printed stamp cancelled at London on 29 March 1899 with an arrival CDS in Elberfeld on 3rd March 1899. Of interest is the wonderful copperplate writing on the reverse side of this card, including the very collectable horizontal and vertical writing used to maximise the use of the space.
Both Cover and card are in perfect condition.
