This is one of the first items from a Postal History collection from a well known philatelist. All pieces are of very high quality, are scarce or rare and should be good investment pieces. If we get a good response to them locally, we will try to keep on selling them in the SA market, otherwise we will have to put them on the global market.
Front of this cover shows a red Paris CDS for 31 May 1845, together with a PP (Postage paid?) and another mark. Rear has a circular green France ... CDS with 1845 mark and a red received Liege 2 June 1845 circular mark. Cover is in near perfect condition - remarkable for the fact that it is 163 years old!
