This is one of the first items from a Postal History collection from a well known philatelist. All pieces are of very high quality, are scarce or rare and should be good investment pieces. If we get a good response to them locally, we will try to keep on selling them in the SA market, otherwise we will have to put them on the global market.
Front of this cover shows black double circle mark from Inverness - I believe that these replaced the old Bishops Mark in 1787 and a red 'Paid' circular mark for 15 December 1817. It is signed with a 2 and a half penny notation.
The Cover is in near perfect condition - remarkable for the fact that it is 196 years old!
