1. Plug the PS1200 into your wall socket ....
This is the Front of the unit (below)
2. Plug your Appliances into the socket on the back of the unit....
(Use a normal Multiple Adaptor for more than one Item)
This is the back of the PS1200 (below)
3. Turn the unit on - using the little button on the front
And That's All Folks!
You will now have uninterrupted power for those appliances - you do not have to do anything else from here onwards. There is no maintenance, no turning on / off etc.. you will simply continue to use your appliance during an outage without any interruption - this is a UPS! (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
What Can You Backup?
The PS1200 can supply upto 1200watts of power. Your backup time will depend on how much power you draw out of the batteries inside the unit. Here are some examples of what you can use the unit for ...
- 2 PCs and 1-2 Printers (not laser) for 6-8 hours
- 4 PCs and 2-4 Printers for 3-4 hours
- A very Large TV, Decoder, DVD, Stereo & a Few Lamps (with energy saver bulbs) for 8-12 hours
Other Useful Info
You can have this unit connected to your DB Board by an electrician. This gives you the option of having built in house/office lights and sockets backed up. This is not necessaru however as the unit is designed to be used without professional installation i.e. "Plug n Play" .. but it is an option for those who are not happy with lamps for lighting or for those who wish to have backup in more than one room from the same unit. (NB: You can always have an extension run from the unit to another room if you wished) Please also note that we make a PS300 and PS600 as well!
